Why is the price on the web site different from the price advertised in the newspaper?
Prices are given to the newspapers only once per week. The web site always reflects up-to-the-minute pricing.Why must I be on auto delivery for a minimum of 1 year?
We always charge the lowest advertised price for our auto delivery customers. We do this because we can route our deliveries more efficiently which saves us money. We pass this savings on to our auto delivery customers. Simply going on auto delivery to get the lower price and then canceling auto delivery after less than 12 months, will result in back charges to the account.My card was charged before the delivery was made. Why was this done?
Unless you are ordering a specific amount of heating oil, we do not actually charge the account until the delivery is made. We put a reserve on the account to ensure that there are sufficient funds available for the delivery. Once the delivery is made the reserve is removed and the actual charge is applied.How much of a reserve is placed on my credit card account when I order?
It depends on how much you order and the size of your tank. If you request that the tank be filled, we multiply the tank size by the price for that day. Otherwise it is the number of gallons ordered multiplied by the appropriate price for the day.I want to pay the driver cash but I cannot stay home to wait for the delivery. What can I do?
If you elect to pay cash, someone must be home when the driver arrives. You may want to leave a note to see the neighbor or have someone else wait there. The option to prepay for your fuel deliveries is only available during certain times of the year, typically during the summer. Prices are set at the time you place you order not when the fuel is delivered. You wouldn't want us to raise the price if it went up after you placed your order, would you?Why didn't my automatic deliveries stop after 12 months?
When signing up for automatic delivery, in order to receive the lowest price you must be on for a minimum of 12 months. That does not mean that we automatically cancel automatic delivery after 12 months.
